RSAWEB is an established and rapidly expanding Internet Service Provider, specialising in Internet Access & Cloud Hosting Solutions.

We are pushing the boundaries of technology and we are looking for a fast-learning, agile team player and are seeking a Linux skilled Cloud Support Engineer to assist our current support administrators and to perform advanced tasks related to our expansion.

The ideal candidate must be a self-starter with strong work habits and have strong experience in maintaining large numbers of Linux servers. This experience should include the rolling out of new systems, maintaining, upgrading, replacing, and improving the long-term performance of systems.

The primary role will be to assist in developing and managing our Cloud infrastructure environments in our Datacentres in Cape Town and Johannesburg. In addition you will be assisting the team in monitoring, managing and supporting our Cloud infrastructure services.

You will be a part of our Cloud team and will report to our Cloud Engineering Manager. You will collaborate internally with our Service Desk, Development and Network teams, and externally with third party vendors and customers.

Minimum requirements

  • BS Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related technical discipline or equivalent 3 years of work experience
  • 3 years + experience with Linux and Web Hosting platforms (e.g. LAMP)
  • o Redhat RHCP certification
  • o LPIC 1 or higher
  • o SLES CLP
  • o Basic Python/Perl proficiency and BASH
  • Basic experience with SAN storage, Virtualisation and Orchestration technologies
  • VMware certified professional working experience preferred
  • Working experience with VMware , vSphere, vCloud Director, NetApp, Solidfire and Veeam


  • Proactive infrastructure, platform and system monitoring, maintenance and management
  • Troubleshooting and resolving support issues on our Cloud and for customer systems
  • Managing and provisioning our Cloud infrastructure products
  • Working directly with major clients in support of their RSAWEB supported cloud infrastructure
